Just don't get it

   I just don't get why after so many years we still have a "race problem". I find it down right crazy that someone can use their race as a card to get what they want. Or get out of trouble. What happened to the progress we as people have made over the yaers?

   I was raised in a time where you were supposed to "stay with your own kind". But as I've grown older I see that kind of belief to be bullshit. I've known damn good people of all races, colors and creeds. I didn't give a damn if your were black, brown, white or pink with purple polka dots. I didn't care who you slept with. Or who you hung out with. As long as you treated me the way you wanted to be treated, we got along fine.

   It's sad that politics has brought us back to a place we fought so hard to get out of. All it took was one racist asshole to drag us all back. Not to mention all his racist friends.

   I've actually was called a racist at work by more than one customer. Just because your Hispanic or black does not mean I don't like you. Hell, I don't even know you. And if you wanted to buy cigarettes, blunts and beer you should have your damn ID or drivers license on you. My asking for it has nothing to do with your race. It has to do with the law. And the fact I have no intention of going to jail just so you can get high or drunk.

   And just so you know, I am not white. Due to the fact I have Native Indian blood I am what is referred to as a "breed". And I am damn proud of it. So shut your racist mouth.
